Wikinewsies are the volunteer contributors who write and edit articles, produce multimedia content, review, and help maintain the Wikinews project.

There are currently 2,881,112 registered users on Wikinews.

Wikinews also grants accreditation to selected contributors.

Some users--including all the accredited reporters--identify themselves on their user pages and post contact information there. However, all users are not required to identify themselves, create these pages or to post any information on them.

This page contains lists of Wikinewsies by country, and links to other Wikinewsie lists, including Wikinewsies available by Instant Messaging (IM) and other "instant" contact. Individual Wikinewsies may add themselves to appropriate lists if they wish. It is suggested that if you put your name on one of the more specific lists, that you also include your name on the alphabetical list.
