The New York Rangers clinched their first playoff berth since 1997 with the 3-2 shootout victory tonight at Madison Square Garden over the Philadelphia Flyers. Michael Nylander and Martin Straka scored for the Rangers while Mike Knuble and Simon Gagne tallied for the Flyers. Rangers' goalie Kevin Weekes was first store as he stole the show and finally gained the fans' respect. However, the effort of Flyers' goalie Robert Esche can not be underestimated as he recorded 38 saves and had Jaromir Jagr's number all night. The three stars were 3. Robert Esche 2. Michael Nylander 1. Kevin Weekes. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 167.206.156.241 (talkcontribs) 06:37, 5 April 2006‎ (UTC)[reply]

Downstyle[edit]

@Pi zero:, can we downstyle the 'H' in hockey with a simple rename without having to go through all 160 articles and 6 subcategories? --SVTCobra 03:46, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@SVTCobra: Oh, oh! I know the answer to that one!

No. --Pi zero (talk) 04:18, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Aww, shucks! --SVTCobra 04:21, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@SVTCobra, Pi zero: This seems like a task for a bot to do a quick replacement for all those capital Hs. —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 07:13, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'd want to use a dialog-based assistant, of course. But one or another it's something one would prefer not to have to do entirely manually. --Pi zero (talk) 07:31, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'll make a proposal at Wikinews:Bots to run a Pywikibot script for recategorizing these articles, using the newly made account User:SciurusBot. —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 07:59, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I want to thank Acagastya for making this happen. Thanks! --SVTCobra 14:41, 30 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome, @SVTCobra: :) (though I remember there was an elegant way to do it). I should document it so others can do it too!
