@Pi zero: Yes, it should have Bundesliga category -- we have done for La Liga matches, and this is how league matches gets populated. Well there are other teams and players to be wikified.

@Acagastya: If we've done that for La Liga matches, perhaps we shouldn't have. I'd need to look over the situation with one of these in its entirety, including everything remotely related, to understand what we have to work with. (It doesn't escape me that in order to look over everything remotely related, I'd be looking at what would be in the category if our policy toward the category were chosen to be inclusive.) --Pi zero (talk) 18:53, 1 November 2017 (UTC)

@Pi zero: Okay, I will start making list for matches with respect to season. [Do you like the idea of another category -- football matches in season 20xx-20yy?] But whatever we do, it should be done sooner rather than later.

@Acagastya: I suppose categories for individual seasons seem more appropriate if we have enough articles for them. This may also be another case such as I've noted arises in some other situations (I recall BRS found it an interesting concept, at least at first hearing) where one might have a complete set of categories for some set (such as states/provinces/whatever of a country), some of which may be empty or nearly empty, and then there's a splash page somewhere that the redirects can go to where there's a complete list of the set saying how many articles there are in each and allowing them to be expanded at will. Or something like that. Questions about it include whether the splash page for the set should be the parent category or perhaps should be in portal space, and whether the list should be hand coded, generated by categorytree (or something like it), or possibly somehow dialog should be involved. --Pi zero (talk) 19:26, 1 November 2017 (UTC)
