Wikinews has a style guide of its own, and does not need to refer MoS. “Titles of works of music (to include both songs and albums), literature, films, art, and game releases should be italicised:”

I do see what you refer to in the WN:SG. We need to change our Style Guide. I will refuse to go against The Chicago Manual of Style and every other manual of style for the English Language that I am aware of.
