  • The headline is identical to that of one of the sources. Don't lift others' headlines; craft a headline that is different from others'.
  • Do not directly quote other news articles. Direct quotes from newsmakers are different, they're part of the story content, information that we have learned from other news sources (like the quote from the Turkish minister), though if the quote was exclusive to a particular news source we give credit where it's due; but direct-quoting another news article isn't done under most circumstances.
  • A quick look at sources finds immediately that the lede sentence is too close to that of the DW source. Avoid not only long verbatim sequences (rule of thumb is no more than three consecutive words, there's actually a six-word run here), also avoid similar sentence structure (copying a sentence and changing a few words to "scuff it up" doesn't prevent copyvio) and distinctive turns of phrase.
  • I have not done a complete source-check; it's entirely possible there are other too-close-to-source passages lurking, so please try to eliminate such before resubmitting.
