@Zanimum: Hello and thank you for sharing these wonderful photos. Would it be possible to expand the first paragraph to specify more details about the event? How many people attended? In what particular place in Toronto did the event occur? Perhaps the event programme? Did any of these people give talks? How did they spend the time? (Sorry if this sounds stupid, I actually have not been to such an event before and did not check it online yet - just pointing this out because of the currently minimal article size.) Perhaps also an additional paragraph which specifies the context and background of this event could be added at the end? Like do these events run each year and if so then in what places did they run previously? Thank you in advance for editing to answer some of the questions above. --Gryllida (chat) 01:45, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Zanimum, Gryllida: Although a photo essay might have less than three paragraphs,
  • it still ought to have a lede that addresses the five Ws and establishes newsworthiness, and
  • there ought to be at least a bit of reporter's notes on the talk page, explaining the context and process of the OR.

Sorry for the barebones nature of the first iteration. I was accredited for Wikinews and Jedi News UK, a British Star Wars fan site, and have also filed with a podcast and a Disney fan site. As such, I was a bit stretched and just desperate to get something up here in a timely fashion.
I've made a variety of additions to the article, based on the comments above. Re newsworthiness, it's one of North America's largest such gatherings, and ninth largest in the world.
That said, they tend to be slow to release numbers, and are generally coy. I presume it's a case that they don't want people to flip out about a slight fluctuation.
It was comparable crowds to previous years, so I could estimate a minimum of 125k+, but that would be speculative.
Reporter's notes: The content in this article was either a photograph of a large scope of the floor, a photo of a panel, or a photograph where I asked the permission of the "cosplayer", an attendee in costume.
The list of events is based on three of the four available PDFs of scheduled events. To the best of my knowledge, these events all went as scheduled, as they would announce the rare cancellations on Twitter. -- Zanimum (talk) 22:11, 3 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Not sure what keywords requester had in mind; I added a couple of obvious ones. --Pi zero (talk) 13:53, 2 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
