"Exclusive"
[edit]I laughed at the pathetic and ridiculous "exclusive" claim in the third source for the EastEnders information. Uncle G (talk) 00:02, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
Plurals
[edit]You wrote "several last-minute changes to films and television dramas" but only list one of each. To me that sounds like "a few". --SVTCobra 00:39, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Arguably the title should be changed to Death of Michael Jackson causes last minute changes to one film and one TV drama. --SVTCobra 01:26, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Do you know that there have been just one of each? No, you don't. Neither do I. This story so far has examples from the U.S. and the U.K.. There are other countries in the world, and maybe other editors can add content from one of those countries. As it stands, the title and introduction pluralize "changes", and more than one change exists. You're focussing on the number of dramas and films. But the deliberate focus of the title and introduction is on the changes. Take a look at Philippine prisoners repeat performance of Thriller in tribute to Michael Jackson. It's not just the U.S. and the U.K. that are responding to this event. The situation with this story is that sources obtained so far only present examples from the U.S. and the U.K.. But the article deliberately doesn't state either that they are the only two, or indeed that they are not. About the only reasonable change to the title in this vein, reflecting what we do know, would be along the lines of Death of Michael Jackson causes last minute film and drama changes. - No, I don't know that there are not several ... and as you say you don't either. You emphasize so far which would be fair if the article was in {{development}}, but you submitted it for {{review}}, meaning you thought it was ready to be published. So, I guess I am saying it is not ready for publication unless the title and the opening sentence actually comply with what is in the article. Cheers, --SVTCobra 01:59, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- Then what you are saying is based not upon the article as it is before you. It already does comply. It wouldn't comply if your suggested title were the title; but your suggestion is not the title, and the title and introduction as they stand nowhere give a number. There is no such numerical mis-match to address. Your issue is not an actionable one. Present an actionable issue. Uncle G (talk) 02:52, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- To think of it, why isn't this just "Bruno and East Enders make edits due to death of Michael Jackson"? --SVTCobra 02:04, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
- It could well be. Uncle G (talk) 02:52, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
