  • No, I haven't fact-checked this all, but one detail caught my eye. When I see "1.24 times the speed of sound", I want to know what speed of sound is being talked about: To my understanding, the speed of sound varies with the temperature of the air. Is this 1.24 times the speed of sound at the altitude where it occurred? The speed listed here is a little faster than the speed of sound listed by en.wp for a temperature of 20C, but not 1.24 times faster, so then I start getting really curious about just what the 1.24 number means.

  • There were some passages uncomfortably close to the sources. A good technique is to start with redistributing the information between paragraphs and between sentences, so no sentence contains the same thing as any once source sentence.

The source is way off.[edit]

The source is wrong; he never broke the sound barrier, the official video shows a maximum speed of 1,173 km/h (Not very long after he jumps, he begins to decelerate afterwards). Additionally, he jumped at around 29 KM, not 39. The article should be renamed, and have the numbers changed. --99.101.12.26 (talk) 02:19, 22 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
