I added more quote than I think this article needs. Thoughts on which one to use? Darkfrog24 (talk) 11:29, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Should we discuss their dispute with Warner's?[edit]

"In addition to their musical contributions, Linkin Park is known for a dispute with their label's parent company, Warner Music Group, which in 2005 asked them to perform at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the company's initial public offering. An IPO is when a previously privately or semiprivately owned company places some of its shares on the open market where they can be bought and sold by anyone. This usually causes stock prices to increase dramatically. Linkin Park disapproved of the IPO because they felt it would leave Warner unable to fulfill their contractual obligations to promote and sell their albums. Band and company eventually reconciled."

Source: Billboard. This is text that I wrote and was going to add to the article but decided to post here for the team's perusal first. It is not copied verbatim from Billboard; Billboard is just a source for some of the facts. I see where there could have been confusion on that. Darkfrog24 (talk) 11:12, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Does the dispute have to do with Bennington, so that it belongs in a Bennington obit? Off hand, the connection seems kind of oblique. --Pi zero (talk) 20:35, 22 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Film appearances[edit]

I think it's worth mentioning that Bennington appeared in two popular films. People who don't follow music may want to know who this guy is and where they've seen him before. I haven't seen Crank or Saw myself. For reference, I know the rapper Common as a voice actor from the award-winning audiobook version of World War Z even though I couldn't name any of his songs off the top of my head.
