Talk:Lockerbie bombing appeal dropped
Add topicOR notes
[edit]I emailed the contact addresses from each victims' group's website, as well as some old addresses I had kicking around for Kara Weipz. As a result I was able to obtain the statment and the information Frank is the new head of VPAF103. I also obtained information on Reverend Mosey's attendance from UKFF103 and Dr. Swire's address, which I contacted but have yet to receive a reply from. All emails have been forwarded to scoop (at) Wikinewsie.org for those of you with access to a Wikinewsie address. Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 13:32, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

Something that should be attributed
[edit]What is the source of this claim "the majority of victims' families in the UK feeling Megrahi is innocent while those in the US believe him to be guilty."? It ought to be attributed to some kind of survey or poll. Cheers, --SVTCobra 22:58, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- It is from the background Telegraph article: "...have infuriated American relatives of the Lockerbie victims. They are convinced of his guilt and... Most of the British families believe he is innocent." That also ties in with what Weipz told me about the US families in the linked interview. - hmm, I don't know ... perhaps it should say "according to The Daily Telegraph" as a way of attributing. --SVTCobra 23:19, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- I certainly wouldn't be opposed to that, although next time I contact the groups I will try and get this confirmed so we can just say it without third-party sources ;). Blood Red Sandman (Talk) (Contribs) 23:21, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Then we can attribute to Wikinews as original. --SVTCobra 23:25, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
