Nicholas Hensley interview

[edit]

SEP 4TH, 2:49AM William Saturn

Was there a separate vote to make Michael Steinberg the party's VP nominee?

SEP 4TH, 9:28AM Nicholas Hensley

No the nominee picks his/her VP

SEP 5TH, 2:00AM William Saturn

was that recently added to the bylaws?

SEP 5TH, 8:30AM Nicholas Hensley

No, it was always that way in 2012 too.

David Collison interview

[edit]

TUE 1:13AM William Saturn:

When were the bylaws of the Reform Party amended to allow the presidential nominee alone to decide the party's vice presidential nominee?

TUE 7:29AM David Collison:

They were not. However we opted to vote for a "slate" this round. But that only applies to states where our affiliates have ballot access. We can't force the candidate to place the same VP on the ballot in states where they run as an independent, for example.
