This is something from Tuesday, which has had massive coverage in the mainstream. That, to my way of thinking, dramatically shortens the life of it as being newsworthy. However, it's worth noting that Trump's demand for a ban on Muslims, and idiotic remarks about London, have led to a petition being filed with the UK's parliament. That's due to break the quarter million mark today, and has already passed the 100,000 threshold to be considered for debate in the UK parliament.

I think that would be a better point to lead on, but the rest of the detail herein is very useful background on how Trump has found himself in this situation. --Brian McNeil / talk 17:06, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

It gets better, he's just been stripped of an honorary degree too. :D
All we need now is Anne Robinson saying: "Donald Trump, you are The Weakest Link!". --Brian McNeil / talk 18:28, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Petition

[edit]

Not once have I successfully accessed the petition page; that could be because I'm not in the UK, or high traffic, or who-knows-what. BBC provides this link; if I could confirm it's right I'd add it as an external link, if I could use it to confirm the BBC's over-300,000 claim I'd say that in the lede. --Pi zero (talk) 21:28, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
