Translation note[edit]

While a lot of the sources translate the verb ratificar (alt dictionary) as "ratify" in English, this usage is awkward and not typical for things outside treaties; I chose to use "confirm" as an alternative in this instance.

I only had limited time to work on this article, but anyone please free to improve it. —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 18:20, 3 August 2019 (UTC)

The headline I'm also just not happy with, so also feel free to change it. —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 18:29, 3 August 2019 (UTC)
My experience, too, of English usage is that the expected term here would be confirm rather than ratify. I don't suppose anyone would have trouble understanding it if we used ratify, but I at least would find it mildly surprising. --Pi zero (talk) 20:13, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

Review of revision 4497365 [Passed][edit]

Probably should have mentioned the controversy in the lede. --Pi zero (talk) 22:50, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
@Pi zero: I've added an updates notice to the previous article - can you review it? Also, why did you suppress the foreign links for the house/senate/legislative assembly of Puerto Rico? w:Senate of Puerto Rico, w:House of Representatives of Puerto Rico, and w:Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico are valid targets. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 22:53, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
Well, they could be made visible. I wouldn't object. I thought they might be mildly overlinking things, as foreign links, though certainly if we had targets for those we'd want to link to them. --Pi zero (talk) 22:56, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
At the least the Assembly link is useful for the legislature as a whole, imo even if in Spanish. —mikemoral (talk · contribs) 23:39, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
