I should have time to review this one starting this afternoon (UTC). Heavy Water (talk) 04:13, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, for a reason unknown to me, the results of this event were not covered on the relevant sites, but the event did take place as it was stated in the announcement.

As evidence, I can provide a video with a recording of the speech of the director of the scientific library: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Кадуха_Н._И._(Библиотека_КФУ).webm
and chairman of the Crimean branch of the Russian Geographical Society, Gennady Samokhin: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Самохин_Г._В._(Библиотека_КФУ).webm

Since this news is claimed to be an "original report", in my opinion, the evidence is sufficient: This article features first-hand journalism by Wikinews members.Виктор Пинчук (talk) 19:17, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"First-hand journalism" here still requires documentation, even from accredited reporters. These videos appear they will be sufficient; thanks for the quick response. --Heavy Water (talk) 20:13, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@SVTCobra: this news was published two weeks after the article was written. In this case, three weeks have passed. Is it "too late"? — Виктор Пинчук (talk) 06:47, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That is an entirely different policy; that is Wikinews:Freshness, or when the article can be published, this is Wikinews:Archive. The archival policy requires no substantive changes be made to an article more than 24 hours after its publication, and adding a source is substantial. It's a pity. An important source... — Виктор Пинчук (talk) 15:46, 3 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
