Why does this say "loses a delegate"?[edit]

Obama doesnt own or have the delegates. Terry won the delegate fair and square, according to the rules. Metallurgist (talk) 17:10, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ownership is not implied. Obama competed and a lost a delegate to Randall Terry, just as the San Antonio Spurs lost a game to the Los Angeles Clippers. --William S. Saturn (talk) 17:44, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
But you wouldnt say "Terry loses 50 delegates to Obama" The headline should say (Description) Randall Terry wins delegate in Democratic primary". Metallurgist (talk) 21:26, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that Obama lost it is the single most attention-grabbing thing about the situation, therefore belongs at the front of the headline. --Pi zero (talk) 21:46, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
