Online, try to avoid the use of terms such as "yesterday", "today", and "tomorrow". There are many timezones, and it is not reasonable to assume the readers in each of them will instinctively adjust relative time terms for UTC. It is an unnecessary burden to put on our readers.
If you need to specify, use the day of the week of the story location. This follows the en.WN preference for the story location for determining style elements. If possible where the language sounds natural, use a formulation such as "Monday, the 25th of April."
In print is a different situation: morning editions can make good use of "yesterday", afternoon/evening editions can make good use of "tomorrow". But online stories will be archived after publication, and accessible forever; use time terms which are readily referenced.

Russian[edit]
These are general notes for presenting names, titles, and terms in the Russian language in a Latin script. The several standards for transliteration are neither consistent nor without drawbacks; these are rules of thumb only and are suggested for simplicity and not phonetic accuracy. (Keep in mind that en.Wikinews is essentially a print media, not a spoken word media, however unfortunate that may be.)
- Replace dzh with j.
- Words ending in -ski, -skii, or -sky replace with -sky. All other words ending in -i, -ii, -y replace with -i.
- No y before e, eg Belarus. Exception: if e starts the word, eg Yeltsin, Yevgeny.
- Similarly, where pronunciation requires it include a y before a at the start of a word, but not at the end of the word. eg Yavlinsky, but Alia (not Aliya.) There are exceptions, such as Chechenya.
- Anything pronounced yo is generally written e, eg Gorbachev.
