Thanks Bawolff for fixing the alignment problems :) Edbrown05 08:41, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your welcome. Glad I could help. Bawolff 08:50, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures[edit]

We could also add some message for an optional picture of the person, but I don't know where we'd put it. Bawolff 09:06, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I like the photo's location on Category:Hillary Clinton. With the middle part replaced by the DPL, and the right side for links to other projects. —Zachary talk 09:11, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What do you think of category:Linus Torvalds? (and should it start with title, or below?). Bawolff 09:19, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I like it, with the header directly to the right of the image. Looks great! —Zachary talk 09:21, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oops, I hated the image to the left on Category:George W. Bush, feel free to revert me but I feel images look better on the right and smaller, lay-out-wise that is.--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 10:57, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Problem is then the left column is too long. Bawolff 11:04, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To me it's better to have a bit of white space than to have the bullets on the left disorganised...--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 11:18, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

I'm having a hard time believing that we only have 3 articles "that mention George W. Bush" in 2007, although the template is giving just that impression. I'd change the wording to simply "latest articles" instead of "Latest articles for PAGENAME".--Steven Fruitsmaak (Reply) 11:20, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The template is - in effect - reminding people to get out their AWB and categorise. I just discovered we don't have Karl Rove. --Brian McNeil / talk 08:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A bit of a software structuring issue[edit]

Currently, a user must manually list in the category section of an article a link to the 'People' category. This should all be automagic when an article makes news mention to a "people" or "person": then 'boom, the article appears in the 'people' category (if the category exists). Linkage means an internal link here on Wikinews. -Edbrown05 07:31, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The same goes for regions... In other words, a crawler for news written here. If a category exists, the crawler picks it up and includes it on the relevant page. -Edbrown05 07:40, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Topics would have to still be done manually. But in my opinon, the Main Page should be arranged by Topic when the time arises. Everything else is software sortable. -Edbrown05 08:14, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiquote[edit]

I was bold and added {{wikiquote}} to the cross-project links, in the order in which it has typically been placed in pages here. While I was at it, I also updated the WQ template so that it has the same size and formatting that the other cross-project templates use. I hope everyone finds this acceptable. ~ Jeffq - (talk) 04:27, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
