Add topicInterested in covering the Academy Awards?
[edit]Hi NGerda, I see you're an accredited Wikinews reporter. While it doesn't really fit your coverage area interests, would you like to go to the Academy Awards? I'm on their press list already, and they offer the press admission to the Nominations Announcement and the Nominees Luncheon. The deadline to be approved for next year's awards is November 21st, so if you're not interested, let me know so I can find someone else in the area. -- user:zanimum
- Thanks zanimum,
- While I would be delighted to go, my schedule is very full and I do not believe I can attend.

Rfda
[edit]This is a message to inform you that I have added every administrator to the Rfda section on WN:A. This is not personal and I feel as if the community, who did not have the option of voting for or against most of the administrators, should be able to choose who they want to be in charge. I also want to say that I value everyones work on this site and I know that everyone does their best. I hope that none of you will take this personally and I hope that all of us will continue to work together. Jason Safoutin 12:28, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

Cerritos, California
[edit]Since you are the only accredited Southern California Wikinewsie, I thought you might be interested in knowing that someone, probably from Grace Hu's political campaign (former Cerritos councilmember and current Republican nominee for State Assembly), has regularly been deleting some negative info about her that is in the wikipedia:Cerritos, California article. One very interesting comment in the edit summaries from User:Publicdefender99 was "perhaps we can come to some kind of an agreement?". Publicdefender99 doesn't have email enabled for their account, but they do list a hotmail account on their user page.
It's not as big as the news stories about the congressional aides editing the Wikipedia articles on their bosses and boss's competition, but it still might be worth a small story. I figured I'd give WikiNews the exclusive tip. If it continues, or especially if it escalates, however, I'll probably think about contacting the Long Beach Press-Telegram or the LA Times. Beliefs page
[edit]Hi. If you do not want to keep your beliefs page just add {{Delete|reason}} on it. Thanks. —FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 23:02, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- Just wanted to swing by and say hi. Happy editing. Bawolff ☺☻ 23:19, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- P.S. You do realize you're still an admin and can delete pages in your userspace without asking. Bawolff ☺☻ 23:19, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think that it is right to add this to your beliefs page. Please delete it, if you do not want the page anymore. —FellowWikiNews (W) (sign here!) 23:24, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
- personally I don't think theres anything wrong with that, as long as its a personal page. (Its like deleting but anyone can see contribs). Bawolff ☺☻ 23:30, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. I am not sure if you check this page anymore, but I thought you might be interested as to what is going on here at Wikinews: Wikinews:Image use policy/New wikimedia policy action plan. I am outraged as well as others...do you have an opinion? DragonFire1024 09:51, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Accreditation Expiration
[edit]Greetings, I wanted to let you know that our policy regarding accreditation has recently changed slightly. Specifically we've enacted an automatic expiration of accreditation after 2 years. You can very easily "re-up" your accreditation should you choose to, but at this point in time you're on the Inactive list. As such your accreditation will automatically be revoked on March 15th unless you request otherwise. Currently, posting to the following thread will keep your accreditation. At a later date, all Accredited reporters will be put in for that "re-up", at which time you'll be notified. Thank you, and should you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 20:31, 4 March 2010 (UTC)
