DNSstuff.com seems determined to become a pay-site. All of their links in this footer redirect to: http://www.dnsstuff.com/where-are-my-results/. Do we have alternatives? --SVTCobra 00:27, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

btw, it seems Wikipedia switched their links to a site called samspade.org. Cheers, --SVTCobra 00:58, 25 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Bawolff, it is more than just the WHOIS link, fyi. --SVTCobra 23:54, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Luxo

[edit]

{{editprotected}} Please add luxo's global contribs tool which is useful for monitoring crosswiki vandalism. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 21:28, 3 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Oh, and could you also update the whois for chm's tool, like MediaWiki:Anontalkpagetext? Thanks again. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 21:36, 3 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

{{flag}}

  • DiegoGrez, why would you think that luxo's tool would not be necessary? I mean, it may not gain much use on wikinews, but for someone with a want for easy access to global contribs and report them to #wikimedia-stewards, it would be helpful, and necessary. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 04:37, 5 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
Diego, I think you are mistaken. We already have Luxo's tool on the equivalent footer for registered users, and I use it a lot. Lets try to harmonize the two footers. --InfantGorilla (talk) 16:54, 6 November 2010 (UTC)Reply
({{flag}} was not needed) Go ahead and fix it. :P Diego Grez return fire 15:58, 28 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
Added luxo's tool — would have been fixed much sooner had someone not cancelled the {{editprotected}} notice. — μ 02:04, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

him/her

[edit]

Relatively minor suggestion, but would suggest him/her be changed here to the more neutral singular they. Not only is him/her, at least in my opinion, a bit more unwieldy, it doesn't account for people who might not use either him or her. As a default for unidentified IP users, I think replacing him/her with they would be best in this circumstance.

Have also suggested this for MediaWiki:Anontalkpagetext. --LivelyRatification (talk) 04:04, 5 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
