Notes

A few notes for the reviewer:

• Results table: New seats based on The Guardian, old seats based on Canadian House of Commons party standings at dissolution, gain and loss based on simple math. The house of commons site will likely be updated to reflect the new distributions, but archived at https://web.archive.org/web/20191022171000/https://www.ourcommons.ca/Parliamentarians/en/partystandings
• Explanation of "Member of Parliament" = "MP" is unsourced, but should be common knowledge. I included it so that I could use "MP" in the table notes. Otherwise, info about chamber size can be found at The Guardian'
• Oldest source (CBC in September) used for background on election being called by Trudeau

Comments by reviewer: The table of results, and the key statement in the lede about how many seats the Liberal Party lost, are based the illustration provided in the Guardian source. However, that's just one source, unattributed, and the only one of those results we have any independent information on, all our other information about it says that number is wrong. The number of Liberal seats, 157, shown in that image is different from the number given in words in the Guardian source, which says 156, and different from the NBC source, which also says 156. The other current results in the table aren't anywhere at all except in the illustration, afaics. I have confirmed that the results in our table are the same as in the illustration, and I've also checked the changes with the official party standings at dissolution; the figures at dissolution I'm fine with. But in effect all our numbers for the results are single-source. We need some kind of corroboration for what we're to run with, and we need to say where our information comes from. I haven't had a chance to source-check most of the body of the article (alas, I have off-line obligations tearing me away atm). But that basic verification problem with the core numbers needs addressed. Questions about the above? Ask. @DannyS712: I've had the pdf open in both browsers for at least ten minutes (each). They're not going to change.

If I can't access it, there are others who can't access it. Preferably we'd provide information so everyone can access it. Surely you can find somewhere else that it's accessible, either on the EC site or somewhere else that explicitly says it's getting its info from EC?
