I'm not sure how much this is news, just given this appears to more chronicle something ongoing than any real development (and even then, the US Department of State saying "North Korea bad" isn't a divergence in rhetoric). This would work as an OR, but as it stands it seems a report was published, people reacted and there was historical precedent. @JJLiu112: The repatriation of the refugees was the first of its kind since January 2020, as cited in the Radio Free Asia article. China and North Korea closed their border due to COVID-19 and this closure halted repatriations. I think that the news are present in the fact that repatriations are being restarted. To address the US Dept. of State quote, I didn't include it into the article for it to act as a way to validate my story. I felt it was important to have it present to include the United States' reaction. If I wanted the quote to serve as a way to promote the "North Korea Bad" idea, I would have included the passages where the spokesperson said that "North Koreans who are forcibly repatriated are commonly subjected to torture, arbitrary detention, summary execution, forced abortion, and other forms of sexual violence", which I left out as I believe people have heard these sort of situations countless times. It would probably help if its significance was emphasised in the article more. To a layman, this seems like a routine thing, and once again something which would be great for the publication that uncovered it, but not so much for anyone else trying to report on it. --JJLiu112 (talk) 18:22, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
