Notes for the reviewer[edit]

Because the report is 463 pages long, here are some pointers to what I took from the report and not the AP or CNN articles:

  • Reason for ten names redacted is in a footnote on page 8 (I am using the page numbers of the PDF document not the labelled page numbers, because in this instance it would be "iv" which is hard to find.)
  • The quote "Over 600 children are known to have been abused by the 156 people included in this Report, but the number is likely far higher." is found on page 16.
  • Not naming the victim is on page 10
  • The long quote about a cover-up is on page 18
  • Credible abuser list from other dioceses starts on page 451

I took Lori's statement directly from the release by the diocese, not the chopped up version in CNN.

@JJLiu112:, AG is not just a title, it's more like a branch of government. Yes, there's also the AG as a person who is in charge, but it is the government's prosecutorial service. There is no other name for it besides Attorney General of Maryland. Cheers, SVTCobra 20:39, 7 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
When you changed the image credit to Office of Governor of Maryland, did you not just do the same thing? I mean, obviously, the governor himself didn't take the photo but someone in his office did. Anthony Brown didn't write the 463 page report either, staff at his office did. Especially, considering he just became AG in 2023 and the investigation started in 2018. Sorry to get hung up on this. Comments by reviewer: Oof...but good article and much more exhaustive than, at least, CNN. The distinction between House of Delegates and state legislature for the vote was apparently lost on the AP.
