- I observed the live feed of the press conference, (concluded about 4:57pm Eastern time)what the other reporter inserted (re: phone numbers, JFK library etc.) is true. --Bddpaux (talk) 20:58, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
- Multiple articles say that explosion 1 was at Fairmont Copley and the Lenox hotel was evacuated as precaution...--MarkTalk to me 21:00, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

- Please let me know specifically which parts you want to see more sources for and I shall make sure to get the relevant bits you need. Thanks --MarkTalk to me 21:38, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
- I observed the live feed of the press conference which Markie referenced. Ed Davis did say that there was, "also a 3rd explosion at JFK library". Stated that library is, "....located approximately 3 miles from the finish line." He also gave phone numbers (e.g. "617-635-4500" and the tip line at "1-800-494-TIPS.")--Bddpaux (talk) 21:45, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Not that I'm "The Boss" or anything.........
[edit].....but we've got alot of spoons in this broth. If anyone else is catching additional info, please back away from this article, and start working on a new one. I've started one about injuries. --Bddpaux (talk) 21:47, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
I have removed a lot of the fluff and rumours to make your life easier in reviewing the article. I have also worked on the structure so it follows a more 'pyramid' style of article. The article did get hijacked quite a bit...Hope this helps. Uowpjr19
Reviewing
[edit]Just going to comment to say that I am making edits as part of a review of this article. So long as the articles have different scope and focus, I do not see a problem with multiple articles on the same topic. --LauraHale (talk) 23:12, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Review of revision 1877074 [Passed]
[edit]
Revision 1877074 of this article has been reviewed by LauraHale (talk · contribs) and has passed its review at 23:43, 15 April 2013 (UTC).
Comments by reviewer: I believe I still have editorial independence to pass this. A fair amount of information was removed from the article after I started because it was not supported by sources or contradicted by sources. Some of the information made clear sources of information ambiguous, as opposed to clearly crediting where the thought came from. I believe this article is distinct from the other article on the event in that it provides information not found in that article and offers a different perspective. In the future, I do caution that an effort be made to make sure everything in the article is verifiable before submitting. The reviewed revision should automatically have been edited by removing {{Review}} and adding {{Publish}} at the bottom, and the edit sighted; if this did not happen, it may be done manually by a reviewer. |

original
[edit]The original reporting tag was removed. I see nothing that indicates any original reporting element to the story. There are no journalist notes to support it. All facts were found in the sources. The images were not uploaded by reporters. --LauraHale (talk) 23:46, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
A wikinews sports story??
[edit]Surely this it no longer appropriate to have this under the heading of wikinews: sports.....? -- User:66.114.180.198
Boston Herald source not used in review
[edit][14:32] <+LauraHale> The link that TUFKAAP put back in? The quote was actually found in another article.
[14:32] <+LauraHale> It was not in the Herald article itself.
[14:33] <+LauraHale> I could not actually use the Herald article for verification purposes because it was behind a paywall, which might actually explain why I whacked so much from the article.
IRC transcript from me explaining to another user why I removed that link. --LauraHale (talk) 12:35, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
Update to Story?
[edit]Surely a suspect being apprehended is newsworthy? http://edition.cnn.com/2013/04/17/us/boston-blasts/index.html?hpt=hp_t1 Matty.007 17.04.2013 19:27 GMT
- Sure it is. It's a separate news event, so one writes a separate news article for it. This is one of the differences between news articles and encyclopedia articles. :-) --Pi zero (talk) 18:56, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Ok, thanks for answering my question! Matty.007 19:58 GMT
