Rename article
[edit]This article should be renamed to Russian vice-consul reportedly shoots and kills attacker in Rio. Not only does the current title assume that the attacker was a mugger (a type of thief), but the lack of correct grammar in the current title is horrible. --Queen Laura (talk) 20:48, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
- Criticism is important. Responding directly:
- The grammar of the headline isn't wrong. Your alternative would have been acceptable (though we don't like to rename an article post-publish if we can avoid it; that can produce duplicate entries in some feeds), but the existing headline is not unacceptable.
- The title does not assume the attacker was a mugger; it doesn't even assume there was an attacker. The scope of the adverb can encompass the verb phrase.

Edit
[edit]{{editprotected}} There's an extra space between "Thursday" and the comma in the lead. Heavy Water (talk) 16:56, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
