Image[edit]

What image we can use as we don't have the image of the astronaut right now? DRC-B5 (talk) 14:04, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You could use this one (the craft they're using) or the Axiom logo, or the Saudi flag. Heavy Water (talk) 14:29, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the limited resource we have and the focal point of this topic, I think we can use craft's one. For now. DRC-B5 (talk) 14:32, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm more concerned about the headline. It implies Saudi Arabia is sending the craft, when in fact Axiom is. It also capitalizes "space". Heavy Water (talk) 14:38, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See [1]. It looks like we need to change the headline of all. DRC-B5 (talk) 14:49, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Heavy Water, can we use this "Saudi Arabia selects first female astronaut for sending Axiom Mission 2 into space."? DRC-B5 (talk) 14:56, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey buddy, if you find any new appropriate headline for this, please tell me ok and see whether it is ok or not so that I can submit the request for publishing. DRC-B5 (talk) 15:15, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps "Saudi Arabia selects its first woman to travel to space" "Saudi Arabia selects its first female astronaut to go to space"; we have to make clear: she's not Saudi Arabia's first female astronaut, but the first female Saudi astronaut to travel to space, she hasn't gone yet, and the company's name is not really that important, though it would be if we were talking about the flight itself. Heavy Water (talk) 18:16, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I now realize, reading the body of the sources more thoroughly, their headlines were misleading me. She is also the first female Saudi astronaut. But I think this headline is still better; the news here is that she's to go to space. Heavy Water (talk) 01:11, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@DRC-B5: Please rename this to reflect that the event we're talking about is the announcement of the selection of Barnawi, not the selection itself. That's what the sources focus on. We should be able to publish then. Heavy Water (talk) 03:18, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Heavy Water: I'm not the original author but have renamed the article. Please let me know your thoughts. --Ixfd64 (talk) 04:19, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Ixfd64: Maybe "Saudia Arabia announces astronaut to be nation's first female space traveler"? Otherwise it sounds like she already went to space. Heavy Water (talk) 04:36, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Heavy Water: Sure, that makes sense. --Ixfd64 (talk) 04:40, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Paywall[edit]

In future, we shouldn't publish articles with paywalled sources (Telegraph). JJLiu112 (talk) 17:11, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No paywall displays for me, nor did it then. Maybe it doesn't apply to the US? Heavy Water (talk) 17:14, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Definitely does, and I'm American? "Try your first month’s access free

I thought you were in Canada. Well, I know now it's one of the paywalled sources. I found what the paywalled screen (probably UK) looks like, though. Heavy Water (talk) 17:22, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
