Issues & Feature requests[edit]

Open issues

  • IE is not well tested. in particular there is some layout issues with the boxes not being in a column layout
  • Image extraction should perhaps take infoboxes into account, or even categories to guess a default image (low priority)
  • Handle exceptional cases better (page not found, etc)
    • ITs somewhat improved now. still not great.
  • Give a better success message than alert box and reload page. (open to suggestions as to what this should do after updating leads)
  • Skip to lead preview better on preloaded page requests

If you find any bugs, or have any feature requests, please tell me. Bawolff 23:27, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Should only autosight if reviewer.

Instructions[edit]

  • Page can optionally take parameter use-page to denote what page to use. (escape spaces with + or %20. do not use underscore)
  • Otherwise either click on one of the links in the most recent published list or type the page name in in the box
  • Change which lead number you want to update (it defaults to the oldest one, so recommend you keep it at that)
  • Check the preview. if you need to make changes, do that and regenerate the preview
  • Hit save. And that's it.

Recent articles glitch?[edit]

Just thought I'd point out that the list of recent articles doesn't seem to be picking up the newest pages, even after purging the page. Could this be fixed? Tempodivalse [talk] 19:42, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

At first i could not figure out why this wasn't updating, but then i realized i had an old version of the main page in the other window for comparision. So i still don't know why it didn't update, but its updating for me. In any case, i switched it from using {{DPL}} to doing the normal <DynamicPageList> which might be cached differently, which might have been the issue (unsure). Hope that helps. Note[edit]

The lead list that shows how old in hours each lead is doesn't appear for me. Could this have something to do with the mediawiki update? Tempodivalse [talk] 15:21, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It does not appear to me either. Yell at Bawolff :P --Diego Grez return fire 15:23, 11 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Note![edit]

When it says: "Please do not use time sensitive words like "today" or "yesterday" in Main Page leads", please heed. In my interpretation that includes Mon, Tue etc. Just put the date (July 24, for instance). JJLiu112 (talk) 22:47, 24 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
