Category:Subtemplates

These templates are meant to be used internally by their respective parent template; they shouldn't be called directly from outside the parent. Subtemplates often make it much easier to maintain templates by keeping different parts of the logic separate from each other. Also, in some cases a subtemplate may be called less often than its parent, so that modifying the logic of the subtemplate won't create as much server load as would an edit to the parent.

For cross-project portability, rather than hardwiring the name of this category into subtemplates, you may wish to use {{dialog/subtemplates cat}}.
