OR Notes[edit]

Hi Homoatrox. English Wikinews requires original reporting notes. If your contribution to this article is limited to the photos, just state so here. If you contributed information which cannot be found in the sources, you need to explain what and how. For example, audio recordings or written notes. Cheers, --SVTCobra 20:19, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for the explanation. Only some sentences are based on the cited sources (I couldn't find the source in English for the ~18k estimate, originally it has been [1] in Russian, but I decided to delete it). As I was there (see the authorship of the photos), I thought it would be clear that I can briefly retell the main agenda of the rally with some necessary comments (about the flags, etc.). @Homoatrox: Everything needs to be sourced, one way or another. If the source isn't in English, that does make it harder for us, but even if that's so, it needs to be sourced. --Pi zero (talk) 23:39, 1 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the photos look beautiful! As far as the Russian source is concerned, we can ask @Gryllida: to translate that for us, no @Pi zero:? There re just four sentences.

International[edit]

I think it would be good to not just assume that international audiences know that Lukashenko is the incumbent. Also, I am sure there is at least some dispute (at least from the government) whether the people mentioned are political prisoners. --SVTCobra 03:48, 3 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
