Note for reviewer (OR)[edit]

"Tippu Express covers a total distance of 139 km". This information (which can be a weak OR, I travel between these stations each week now). However, if you would like to verify the claim, please follow these steps.

  1. Go to [1]. It is the website of Indian Railways. Make sure JavaScript is enabled.
  2. In the "From" text field, type "MYS", and wait for the drop-down list. MYS is the station code of Mysuru Junction. Click on it when it shows up in the drop-down list.
  3. In the "To" text field, type, "SBC", and wait for the drop-down list. SBC is the station code of KSR Bengaluru. Click on it when it shows up in the drop-down list.
  4. Below is the date field. It is mandatory, and follows DD-MM-YYYY format. Train schedule is weekly, except for the "special trains". Tippu Express is not a special train. Tippu Express is a daily train (I will mention how to verify that). So entering any date in future is all right. But if you want to check per the calendar, choose "12-03-2020". Click on "Find trains".
  5. There will be a table displaying the result. One of the table header is called "Departs". Clicking on it would sort the result according to when the train departs. Tippu Express departs at 11:30, so scroll down till you find it. You would find "Tippu Express (12613)".
  6. You would see it says "Departs on: All days".
  7. Click on the train name. It will open "Train schedule".
  8. There in "distance" header of the table, notice the distance is calculated from the "from" station. "SBC" has "139" in the "distance". In India, distance is calculated in kilometres.
