January 2018

[edit]

I'd like to review this, but sadly 3 of the sources are pay-walled for me. --SVTCobra 13:56, 29 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@SVTCobra: Which three? I'm guessing that the NYT is two of them, so I am removing them. —Justin (koavf)TCM 18:20, 29 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@SVTCobra: How about the current edition? Mostly, only the sources changed. —Justin (koavf)TCM 18:37, 29 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Justin, the really old NYT was ok (I guess they felt they'd squeezed enough $$$ from it). It was the two recent ones and the WaPo. (I know this is very late to reply to this). Cheers, --SVTCobra 19:39, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@SVTCobra, Pi zero: I have made some small changes, including formatting the previous related story. I think that revision 4379341 is good to go. —Justin (koavf)TCM 01:09, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

"Drastic change" — I am not comfortable with having that mentioned in the article. Seems like a Wikinews is saying it was drastic. Better if one mentions number of times they have paired up. What do you say @Koavf:?

@Acagastya: "substantially" instead? Alternately, something that explains how they have ebbed and flowed. —Justin (koavf)TCM 08:52, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
note that something that I am not okay with, it would not affect reviewers decision, since I am not a reviewer now.

but tbh, last line seems it is opinion. There should be some facts listed to support the claim. Or an attributed quote is fine CC @Koavf:

@Acagastya: Do you suggest I go back to working on it? —Justin (koavf)TCM 09:14, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Koavf: No, don't pull it out of review queue, because I am not a reviewer -- I can just suggest. BTW, I found this source, which I was going to use for the newest development of the story, you can see photos of people burning photos of Kim Jong-un. That might be a worthy inclusion.

Great. I have a handful of sources about the polling issue and I can update the article to be a cancellation of the joint session now, actually. Thanks, @Acagastya:. Once a reviewer gives feedback, I will update the article accordingly. —Justin (koavf)TCM 09:20, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Koavf: I have already created/ and started working on the cancellation article -- Winter Olympics 2018: N Korea cancels joint performance with S Korea. What the sources claim -- only the cultural event is cancelled. I am not sure if the joint team event is cancelled or not. If you do that, (depending on the depth of information) the update article would not be publishable. So, if you are going to, please make sure you explain the context in the lower half of pyramid, and not shift the focus.

@Koavf: I don't know if I would be able to write about that update story -- don't even know if it is still fresh -- if you want to write about it, I think you should go on.

@Acagastya: Man, I just got started and realized there is no way I am going to be able to do it myself--I have a weekend job. Thanks for the offer. :/ —Justin (koavf)TCM 03:50, 1 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Goal question

[edit]

@Koavf: I am reviewing the article but just one little obstacle. Did President Moon make an electoral promise about having a joint team? I can't see it in the sources or his WP page. Cheers. Green Giant (talk) 19:07, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Green Giant: I don't see anything tying it to an election, just that he stated it in 2017. —Justin (koavf)TCM 19:24, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

Review of revision 4379588 [Passed]

@Green Giant: Score. Thanks, man. —Justin (koavf)TCM 20:14, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
You're welcome. Sorry it took a while (busy with some Commons things too). Green Giant (talk) 20:15, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Stuff takes time. Unfortunately, this is the one WMF project that actually has a deadline. :/ See you around the WikiSphere. —Justin (koavf)TCM 20:24, 30 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
