@Acagastya: Why such a dramatic edit? Should I leave the rest to you? Should I use your sources or add my own?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Russell's teapot (talkcontribs)

@Russell's teapot: I am sorry for removing the content; but there was no significant development of the article till 7:20 in the morning (UTC). What I feel is, if we delay at this point, the news story would lose its freshness. I have removed the {{editing}} tag. I believe I have covered information that you had previously added. You can still make edits to the article if you want to add something to it. You are free to add sources and information.

@Acagastya: Don`t worry, you have done much better then I would have done, I should have made it clear what I meant by morning. --Russell's teapot (talk) 10:39, 17 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Review of revision 4234458 [Passed]

[edit]
There's some history of the Turkish Military re secular government in Turkey, something mentioned I think in one or more of the sources and which could be of interest to readers as context for this incident. --Pi zero (talk) 20:17, 18 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Pi zero: Why did you remove CAT:Middle East? Turkey is a country of the Mid East.
acagastya 08:30, 19 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
Well, I've always figured "Middle East" as a slightly arbitrary designation whose operational definition on Wikinews is our Category:Middle East. By our categories, Turkey is in Europe and Asia, because it's on both sides of the Bosphorus, but not in the Middle East; on the other side, Afghanistan isn't in the Middle East; and Egypt is in both the Middle East and Africa. because it straddles the Suez Canal. --Pi zero (talk) 11:00, 19 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

{{editprotected}} "Istanbul" is misspelled "Instanbul". Heavy Water (talk) 20:33, 4 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
