Questions and comments
[edit]DRC-B5: I've been meaning to comment here for the past week-and-a-half this request has been open, but various things, on-wiki and otherwise, have prevented me. Anyway, from this comment, I have the impression you think OR can only be done by physically going to an event. Not necessarily. Broadcast reporting is similar to OR, and much OR is conducting interviews/requesting comment.
You would do well, both to ensure the success of this request and to become familiar with OR, to start with interviews/requesting comment, where accreditation is less needed. For an interview: you find someone in the news or with expertise on something in the news; write up questions; contact them (usually via email) to request an interview; if they agree, you conduct the interview (via email, phone call, or video call); then write up the story and verify it (forwarding emails to scoop, uploading videos or audio). A request for comment is just shorter, and usually via email. Let me know if you need help. --Heavy Water (talk) 19:51, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@DRC-B5:, do you have any planned articles where accreditation would be instrumental? If so, please share some of the ideas. Cheers, --SVTCobra 00:03, 27 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- @DRC-B5: You have been inactive for six weeks. You are not responding to questions and comments. What are we to think about this request? SVTCobra 04:42, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: I've asked on AAA for an admin to close this as unsuccessful, in light of the applicant's inactivity and unresponsiveness for months. Heavy Water (talk) 16:10, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

- @JJLiu112: They have actually written seven (see Category:DRC-B5 (Wikinewsie), the link was invisible above because one can't link directly to a category). Heavy Water (talk) 20:43, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
- Hm. I actually haven’t noticed that. My apologies. JJLiu112 (talk) 23:57, 24 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
