I'm pleased to nominate Gopher65, a Wikinewsie with a long history on the project, an Arb on multiple occasions in the past, who has agreed to stand for election. --Pi zero (talk) 12:16, 11 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pi has accepted the nomination, and well, anyone who has been on the project, eligible to vote knows about them.

I don't know whether or not it's explicitly mentioned in the rules; but an IP can't vote, and it seems best to have the nomination on a very solid footing. At any rate,

I accept the nomination. --Pi zero (talk) 12:27, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see a reason to bar an IP from nominating someone.

My experience of local governmental election processes is that nomination is ordinarily restricted to registered voters. --Pi zero (talk) 13:07, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is the first time for Green Giant. Second-most active reviewer, lately, and they have participated in some really good discussions (many a time taking the initiative), and well, they have accepted the nomination!
