This page requires extensive copy-editing with verbose explanations in edit summary for each change. Perhaps a volunteer, who won't be the reviewer, is interested. It would be greatly appreciated by me and I imagine by the author also, regarding how to do without inline citations, with attribution and with active tense and other aspects. It's going to need major copyediting. OhhLord (talk) 20:49, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've volunteered to mark parts for npov, passive voice, lack of clarity. I've suggested putting additional information from other external sources. The author corrected these. I believe there are a few more places where it reads as biased, but nothing that copyediting won't resolve. I don't have the capacity for video viewing efforts and would greatly appreciate assistance. Gryllida (talk) 03:54, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Peace out!

This has been coming for a while now. As of today, I have retired here as a Reviewer, Admin and Bureaucrat. I wish to remain listed as an accredited reporter for a little while. I believed very deeply in what happened here for a long while. This entire thing has become unrecognizable to me. I don't feel comfortable calling English WN 'a failure'.... but: it has without-a-doubt lost its framework. There are other things I wish to focus on in my life. Good luck to all parties. Journalism is a noble endeavor -- I wish you all many good things ahead. Whomever can take away bits......feel free to do so in terms of my role here.--Bddpaux (talk) 21:05, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your service, B. Agreed that this project needs a lot of love and no one of us can do it alone. —Justin (koavf)TCM 22:22, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your service. I'm genuinely sorry to see you go. I have filed a de-bureaucratship request at m:SRP (as stewards are the only ones able to remove bureaucrat). Heavy Water (talk) 23:19, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And requested removal of admin and reviewer bits at AAA. Heavy Water (talk) 23:24, 2 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You will certainly be missed, and thank you for all your contributions to the project! —chaetodipus (talk · contribs) 03:51, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you suddenly had one year free to work on Wikinews only and nothing else, what objectives would you have, in regards to both the content and the software or workflows involved? 1.145.24.73 (talk) 10:17, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kashmiri Migrant Relief & rehabilitation

Kashmiri migrants are suffering a lot in J&K. Yashwant Singh Pathania (talk) 17:38, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

For sure. If you can help with any reporting from that region, it would be a huge boon to this site and could maybe even actually help the people there. —Justin (koavf)TCM 17:48, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
