Talk:Barcelona defeat Manchester United in 2009 Champions League Final
Add topicOR notes
[edit]Watched the entire match on ESPN, live. Calebrw (talk) 22:33, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
This claim of OR brings to the fore the unresolved discussion at Wikinews:Water_cooler/policy/Archive/18#OR_and_Broadcast_report. Why is this OR when it seems that any and all of it can verifiably sourced? Watching something on TV doesn't seem that special, it is already filtered by whomever is broadcasting it. --SVTCobra 23:42, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, and have removed the tag (revert me if you disagree though). As I said at the water cooler discussion regarding this, I believe OR should be information obtained first-hand, not something that is taken from another news source (which this is). Watching the event on telly means that it is filtered for you, so it is already some form of a publication. Tempodivalse [talk] 23:51, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- The {{original}} was on the preloaded page. I just did the OR notes to go along with that. I agree and I'm not going to revert. Calebrw (talk) 15:32, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Sources
[edit]Please note that I got some information from w:UEFA Champions League 2009–10. Thanks. Calebrw (talk) 22:33, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- Can {{Broadcast report}} be removed? Is everything (save the UEFA stats/fact from WP) sourced now? --SVTCobra 23:38, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- I guess. I everything that's in the article is sourced with either BBC or the UEFA.com source. Calebrw (talk) 21:22, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

- What the heck? Template clearly specifies what needs to be done. Those with w: link should be converted to {{w|, and all the important words should be linked. What do you mean by being more specific? If I were to list all the keywords to be linked, well, that really does not help, does it? I spend time listing all the words, and then an admin going through the source to do it, collectively spending twice the time. I would have done it myself, but well, since I can't, that's why the template.

- {{w}}ized. There may, indeed, be additional keywords to link, especially toward the end, but I did a bunch of them. --Pi zero (talk) 18:12, 13 August 2019 (UTC)
