[edit]I get pretty grumpy after tracking down all the stuff related to 100 or so edits by someone. - Amgine | t 20:15, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm really, really curious as to what happened here. How did it happen that you reviewed any version of this article from 2006, and how did you happen to review a version that wasn't the most recent? I noticed this because it caused all the later edits to show up on Category:Review as pending review for the past 1403 days (lol). Of course there's the matter of getting it off the queue, which requires an admin to either deprecate the old version or review the most recent, but, besides that, really... what happened here??? --Pi zero (talk) 15:07, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- ...I'm... not exactly sure, heh. But I reviewed the latest version of the article anyway to get it off the pending review list. I guess I must have reviewed an old version of the article while checking for vandalism by an IP. That's the only thing I can think of that makes sense. Gopher65talk 15:11, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Stereo reviews
[edit]Hah! I always wondered what would happen if two reviewers reviewed the same article at the same time.
At least we both failed it :-). --Pi zero (talk) 03:28, 25 November 2010 (UTC)
- Nope, no errors this time. --Pi zero (talk) 03:35, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

Indef blocks of IP addresses
[edit]I note you have applied an indef block of an IP. On what policy grounds?
The only time such should be done are: clearly identified open proxy, tor node, or abused hosting IP. --Brian McNeil / talk 10:27, 27 December 2010 (UTC)
Hey

Abandoned article
[edit]Hello. You deleted the article "Former Italian terrorist to be released from Brazil prisons" because it was "abandoned", though it had been edited (by me) in the last two days. It's a pity because it was sourced and could become an interesting article (it needed obviously to be re-written, but we have an article in French). Do you think there's still a chance to write something about it in the English Wikinews (I can't do it alone, my English is too bad) ? Regards, Xiglofre (talk), 15:20, 3 January 2011 (UTC).
Open letter pdf thingy
[edit]It was an OR notes item. I don't know if the article was deleted or what; might never have been published. Will look for it at some point, which will require more time to focus on what I was doing then than I have at the moment. - Amgine | t 03:29, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for re-finding the Space.com article that was previously lost in their 'improved' interface, you surely saved the article from death, since I couldn't be around for a couple of days there. Thanks again, Tyrol5 (talk) 18:30, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

- damn. What's your luggage allowance? <misses Japan sometimes> - Amgine | t 04:46, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
- Two 50 pound bags. Only took one. Additional bags are 200 dollars for the third bag, and 400 for the fourth bag. Coming home tomorrow, probably. Gopher65talk 00:58, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]...for the welcome. You don't need to apologize; I bear as much blame as you, probably more, I should never have responded like I did, and for that, I'm sorry. Best wishes, C628 (talk) 23:49, 28 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your comment on my page
[edit]I acknowledge that I misunderstood your intentions and mistakenly thought you were trying to discredit the very real interactions I have witnessed on IRC. I deeply apologize for jumping to that conclusion. And thank you for your remarks about me having the potential to be a great long-term Wikinewsie. Please forgive me. Request for reviewing and other assistance
[edit]Hi. Next week is the start of the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships and two Wikinewies will be attending to cover the para-alpine skiing ahead of the 2014 Winter Paralympics . This is part of an effort outlined at Wikinews:IPC Alpine Ski World Championships. Immediately following this event, there will be a Meetup in Barcelona where Wikinews, the Paralympics and efforts to similar sport coverage will be discussed. At the moment, there are only two active reviewers on a daily basis. Demonstrating an ability to get reviews for these types of events done quickly is important for Wikinews credibility and gaining access to these types of events. I would really appreciate it if you could sign up on the IPC World Championship page to review, promote articles published during this period, assist in translating these articles into another language or attend the meetup in Barcelona. Thanks. --LauraHale (talk) 09:30, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
Wikinews Writing contest 2013 is here. :) Please sign up to participate?
[edit]We've created the Wikinews:Writing contest 2013, which will start on April 1 and end on June 1. It is modeled on the successful 2010 contest. Unlike the previous version, points are available for people who conduct reviews. (With a University of Wollongong class currently contributing articles, extra assistance is appreciated at this time.) It presents a great incentive for you to renew your reviewing chops, contribute some original reporting not being done by the main stream media, and write some synthesis articles on topics that could use more attention. People should be around to review to prevent a backlog if you just want to write, and several reviewers have access to scoop to make it easier to review any original reporting you do. If you are interested in signing up, please do so on Wikinews:Writing contest 2013/entrants. There is at least one prize on offer for the winner along with the opportunity to earn some barn stars as a way of thanking you for your participation. :D --LauraHale (talk) 10:36, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
Arbcom 2014
[edit]Next month is ArbCom elections. Would you accept nomination this year? I'm asking early, in hopes of catching you in time after I tripped up last year. --Pi zero (talk) 15:33, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
- You can nominate. Though I must say, I've had pretty minimal activity over the past year because of school and some other things. I pop in once a week or so to see what's going on though:). Still, if you need to fill some slots - to make sure you have more nominees than seats (so that it's a real election, and not just a "you applied, so you get in" situation) - you can nominate me. — Gopher65talk 17:41, 17 June 2014 (UTC)
