Question @LivelyRatification: according to you, what are some of the roles and responsibilities that comes with being an AR?

Being an accredited reporter gives you the privilege of press access as a contributor for the Wikinews project. As an AR, the most vital thing to do is to uphold Wikinews' pillars and our code of ethics, namely WN:NPOV. ARs should be able to demonstrate that they can, and have, stayed true to these principles in their prior articles as a Wikinewsie. --LivelyRatification (talk) 22:13, 5 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comment I should point out, LivelyRatification has three published articles (two being exclusive interviews), has three articles in the RQ, and is working on more interviews.

Comment I had reviewed both of the articles, (though having published) one, and I was fairly impressed by a newcomer doing a very good job for an OR. Do they have a scope of improvement? Definitely. Learning is a forever process. But, they show signs of a good Wikinewsie. I am pleased to see their nomination.

Comment Whilst I appreciate the enthusiasm, I want to follow the accreditation policy, which has a small number of suggested criteria, which I have abridged below:

Formalities: signed, dated, reason included, articles listed.
Being an established, and published, Wikinews contributor.
- User:LivelyRatification has been contributing for about two and a half months. This is too short a time to have become an established contributor.
Having started, and substantially contributed to, several Wikinews articles.
- This criterion is vague on the meaning of "several" but User:LivelyRatification has at least five articles published.
Demonstrable commitment to NPOV, as shown by contributions and the text of the application.
- Having read the five articles by the applicant, I think this is not in doubt.
